Founded in 2002 in Clermont-Ferrand (France) by Marc Geneix and Sebastien Maloberti, In extenso develops exhibitions, publications and exchanges between contemporary art venues in the centre of France, notably with the magazine La belle revue.
In extenso exhibits the work of national and international artists both in its gallery space in the city centre of Clermont-Ferrand and in its off-site programme. Every year In extenso hosts three to four exhibitions in Clermont-Ferrand all the while developing annual off-site projects in France or abroad.
Since 2005, In extenso has developed various publishing projects from catalogues and artists books to an annual magazine, La belle revue. Launched in 2009, the magazine provides a focus on the artistic scene in the centre of France through exhibition reviews and sections dedicated to artists living and working in the region, as well as a section dedicated to an art scene outside of France. La belle revue’s website compliments the annual print magazine with monthly exhibition reviews as well as a current calendar of the contemporary art projects taking place in the region.
